Map, Illum

I was lucky enough to get a lot of D&D map commissions this season and this was just one of the first.  I was able to use some tinting to call out some of the terrain and I was so happy with how that came out that I didn't much mind that my maker's mark wound up upside-down.  Because that's the kind of stupid derp I couldn't fix in the middle of a holiday blitz.

Dice Bag, Zerg

This is exactly why I hunted down a good purple stain last year.  It's hardly ever requested but it's uniquely a color that can't be mixed at the bench.  I've tried.  A lot.  It's a chemistry/optics thing.  Anywho, ZERG!

Map, London

I'm going on the record that London has some of the weirdest streets.  If I were drawing a made-up city map I'd've never included so many random loops and deadends.  But it does make a pretty interesting map so my inner cartographer should keep that in mind.

Map, Fenway Park

The client was having a hard time picking between a seating map of Fenway Park or a street map of the surrounding area. So we did both!  Of course the Fallout-fan in me couldn't do another map of Boston without slipping in a subtle reference. =p

Map, Chicago Skyline

Maybe this wasn't a conventional map but the technical processes were pretty much the same.  The client wanted to mark an anniversary with the image of the Chicago skyline.  To keep the contrast as high as possible the background wasn't stained at all and the skyline itself only lightly stained.
